Editorial Board
Composition
The Editorial Board of Problems of Modern Law is formed jointly by the two founding organizations, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Innovative Academy RSC LLC. The Board brings together specialists in the branches of law covered by the journal's seven sections and includes international members drawn from institutions outside Uzbekistan, in order to secure comparative breadth and independent judgement.
Every member is listed with full name, academic degree and title, institutional affiliation, country, and ORCID identifier, so that readers, authors, and indexing services can verify the composition of the Board.
Structure
- Editor-in-Chief — bears final responsibility for editorial policy and for all publication decisions.
- Deputy Editor-in-Chief — supports editorial governance and acts for the Editor-in-Chief where a conflict of interest arises.
- Section Editors — handle manuscripts within their subject sections, select reviewers, and prepare recommendations.
- Members of the Editorial Board — advise on editorial strategy, evaluate the journal's scholarly standards, and review manuscripts within their fields.
- Executive Secretary — administers the editorial workflow, correspondence with authors, and issue production.
Duties and Independence
Board members act in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics statement and the COPE Core Practices. They assess manuscripts solely on scholarly merit; take no part in handling submissions in which they have a conflict of interest; maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and reviewer identities; and exercise editorial judgement independently of the founding organizations. Members of the Board who submit their own work to the journal are excluded entirely from its handling, which is assigned to an independent editor.
Roster
The full board roster is being finalized and will be published here. Until then, correspondence intended for any member of the Editorial Board should be sent to the editorial office at info@in-academy.uz.
Expressions of Interest
Scholars and practitioners with a doctoral degree and an established publication record in the fields covered by the journal are invited to express interest in serving on the Editorial Board or as reviewers. Enquiries should be sent to the editorial office with a curriculum vitae, an ORCID identifier, and a statement of the subject areas in which the applicant is able to review.
